INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
Dr. Thomas Chandler, chair of the Department of Environmental Health
Sciences in the Arnold School of Public
Health, gives a tour of his lab on June 19 to members of the
Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The OECD,
based in Paris, serves as the clearinghouse
for tests that detect pollutants in water. The scientists and
policymakers from OECD came to USC to review new methods for testing
environmental pollutants that have been developed in Chandler's lab.
Representatives from Finland, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany,
Japan, Great Britain and the United
States were part of the international visit. (Photo by Bond Nickels)
