PASOs partners with Ruby Tuesday for Sept. 20 – 22 event

PASOS is teaming up with Ruby Tuesday for a "Give Back" weekend September 20 - 22.

People who eat at Ruby Tuesday's participating restaurants and take a PASOs special flyer about the event will have 20 percent of their bill donated to support PASOs' efforts to continue making Latino families strong and healthy in South Carolina.

Participating locations include Ruby Tuesday, 4600 Devine St.; Ruby Tuesday, 2504 Augusta Road, West Columbia; and Ruby Tuesday, 120 Columbiana Circle (adjacent to Columbiana Mall on Harbison Boulevard).

Since 2000, South Carolina's Latino population has increased faster than any other state in the nation. PASOs helps meet the needs of this growing population by training Community Health Care Workers to provide a bridge between area health clinics and Latinos' neighborhoods.

Community Health Care Workers teach their peers how to plan for healthy pregnancies, prevent and respond to domestic violence, use positive discipline skills with their children and recognize their rights and responsibilities in the United States.
