Sales of luminary bags and stickers added to the total

Volunteers from the Arnold School of Public Health raised $1,835 for the American Cancer Society in the April 4 Relay for Life @ USC.

The final total was well in excess of the $1,000 goal set by the student volunteers and their sponsors.

Besides the rally at the Blatt PE Field, the students also raised $400 from the proceeds of a Feb. 22 pancake brunch. Additionally the students sold luminary bags and Relay for Life "One Step Closer to the Cure" stickers.

Members of the Relay team included: Meghan Baruth, Kylie Adams, Jessica Bellinger, Ilona Burgrova, Katie Carpenter, Jamie McClellan, Benji McCollum, Charlotte Shatten, Christina Smith and Brittany St. Martin.

Additional support was also provided by Greg Dominick, Kristian Gordon, Lucy Annang, Earleen Michels, and several students from HESA (Healthcare Executive Student Association).
