Jim White - 1st Place, Health & Life Science Poster Presentation: Skeletal Muscle Protein Synthesis and Cancer Cachexia in the ApcMin/+ Mouse.

Diana Delgado Diaz - Honorable Mention, Health & Life Science Poster Presentation: IGF-1 and VEGF Expression In Response To Therapeutic Ultrasound In Human Skeletal Muscle.

Jorge Banda, a student with Dr. Steven Hooker in the Prevention Research Center, was presented the Charles Coker Fellowship by the USC Educational Foundation. This is the second consecutive year an Exercise Science student has been awarded this fellowship.

Archana Pande Lamichhane – Honorable Mention, Poster Group 8: Association of built food environment with BMI and waist circumference among youth with diabetes.

American College of Sports Medicine Grant Award

C’iana Barker received the American College of Sports Medicine Grant Award for her proposal Effects of transcranial brain stimulation on central nervous system fatigue. This one-year award is supported by $5,000 in funding.
