Excellence in faculty teaching, research, Service to be recognized

March 31 is the deadline to submit nominations for awards that will be presented to Arnold School faculty at the May 6 Hooding Ceremony at the Koger Center.

The awards will include:

James A. Keith Excellence in Teaching Award: This award is made in memory of the late professor and associate dean. It recognizes excellence in teaching at the Arnold School and includes a $1,000 honorarium and a commemorative plaque. Nominations may be made by students, faculty, alumni and administrators.

Faculty Research Award: The recipient must have an outstanding scholarly research record. Arnold School faculty who nominate one of their colleagues for this award must complete a nomination form and submit it to the Office of Academic Affairs. Nominees will be asked to provide appropriate documentation. The recipient will receive a $1,000 honorarium and a commemorative plaque.

Faculty Service Award: Exceptional outreach to the community, significant contributions to the public health practice setting, or leadership in professional organizations or governance are among the criteria for this award. Nominations may be submitted by Arnold School faculty, staff, students or alumni; a public health practice partner, or any other member of a community organization. The award recipient will receive a $1,000 honorarium and a commemorative plaque.
