  • Callan McIver CPARG team member Kerry Cordan welcomes new baby boy

    Congratulations to CPARG’S Kerry Cordan on the birth of her son, Callan McIver, who was born on August 28th, 2017. Kerry is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise Science.

  • CPARG team member and Exercise Science 2017 doctoral graduate Samantha McDonald joins faculty at Winthrop University

    Samantha McDonald graduated in August, 2017 with her Ph.D. in Exercise Science, and she has joined the faculty at Winthrop University’s College of Education as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education, Sport and Human Performance. Samantha will teach several courses at Winthrop and serves as a faculty advisor.  In addition, she will be continuing her research. She is currently collaborating with Dr. Kristi Adamo of the University of Ottawa and Dr. Linda May of East Carolina University with a research focus on exercise training in pregnancy and maternal-neonatal outcomes.

  • Jennifer Trilk Former CPARG Post-Doc Dr. Jennifer Trilk named Health Innovators Fellow

    Dr. Jennifer Trilk, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Science at USC School of Medicine, Greenville, has been selected to receive an Aspen Institute’s Health Innovator’s Fellowship. Dr. Trilk completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. While pursuing her postdoctoral training, she was awarded an NIH F32 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award to examine the associations of physical activity, cardiorespiratory fitness and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in U.S. adolescents using national survey data. Her recent work has been with the USC School of Medicine, Greenville, leading the lifestyle medicine curriculum and co-founding and co-directing the Lifestyle Medicine Education Collaborative, providing leadership and resources for lifestyle medicine curricula world-wide.

    The Health Innovators Fellowship Program and Greenville Health System partnered in 2015 to strengthen, support, and inspire the network of health innovators across the U.S. healthcare system
