The Society of Behavioral Medicine releases policy brief co-authored by CPARG members.
The Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) recently released a new policy brief, co-authored by CPARG director Dr. Russell R. Pate and Associate Professor of Exercise Science Dr. Michael W. Beets. The statement, “Curbing Summertime Weight Gain among America’s Youth”, recommends that school officials, community leaders and legislators adopt policies emphasizing youth summer programs with the goal of reducing the amount of weight gained by children over the summer.
